We only realized on day four of our stay and had them fixed. Our room proved to have security issues, our windows never locked, something the hotel staff knew but the hotel denied. The rooms look out onto a coart yard where couples hang and sun them selves, you have to keep your windows closed, for any type of privacy. My NYC friends could not believe I had booked in as a straite person. There is a Gay club that is part of the hotel that pumps out load music till late most nights, attracting all types of Gay people. I had some family over for breakfast, including my 14 year old niece and they where not comfortable at all. It is not! It is a Gay resort hotel, run by Gays for Gays that claim to be strait friendly. The Hotel is marketed as Strait friendly. By NYC standards the rooms are well appointed and new, good value for money. We checked into "The Out" because of location, close to family living in nyc and good reviews.
